Not because I'm sick of it quite the contrary, in fact. “For now, after many dozens of hours, I'm taking a break from Hearts of Iron 4. But I have never played anything like Hearts of Iron 4” There are other great strategic-level wargames out there. “It captivates me because-imperfectly, impressionistically, and perhaps a little amorally-it lets me orchestrate the most titanic armed struggles in history, from the fussy economic details to the cut-and-thrust of mechanized warfare. You can arrange it however you like, and write the post to your liking as long as it has that basic information.“Hearts of Iron 4 wields complexity like a swift armor division during the blitzkrieg, allowing it to serve the idea of layered, cerebral, strategic warfare instead of letting it needlessly bog down the experience.”

I meant that your post has to include that information. I think format might be the wrong word choice. That's why there is the basic format, and a more personal one. It's a shame we have to go by a format as it's so unpersonal :( Everyone in my discord is a mate and it's just a pure shame that now can't keep that personal side when asking people if they'd like to get involved :/Īnd each discord advert has their own unique style. Yes it cleans forums up but it's a shame as the personality gets ruined. Then it just becomes the same thing for everyone. I'm going to lock current threads now but feel free to repost your Discord servers with the new format. Also, post any comments/feedbacks you have about this exception. If there are any changes or things you think should be added to the format, feel free to post below. If you don't feel like personalizing your message, here is a more simple layout:įeel free to use whichever format you want, as long as you have all the information listed above.

The type of players you are looking for/accept If you're interested, you're more than welcome to join! " Perhaps add a few words, like "Hey, if you want to play with some other veterans, take a look at our Discord thread. Try not to post just links either, as that may look spammy. Instead, post a comment linking to the thread about your Discord server. Don't post comments in other threads linking your Discords. This really spams the forum and makes it harder to navigate through the threads.Ģ. Sometimes I see the same group being advertised by different users. I'm happy to annouce that I will no longer be locking threads mentioning their Discord, under a few conditions:ġ. In the past, and even today, I was locking threads that advertised their Discord. I don't want to lock every single thread that mentions Discord, because I'm sure some new players come into the Multiplayer forum, see a discord, join, and have players to play with. Because of this, there has been an increase in reports regarding "advertising". It is extremely easy to make your own server, and anyone can start their own community with Discord. Discord has changed the way we game together.
